Dr. Terry Drew Karanen began serving our church in December 2011. On April 1, 2012, Dr. Terry became the new spiritual leader of Unity Church of Harrisburg.
Dr. Terry began his professional service to others in 1985. He completed his ministerial training in 1993 with Religious Science International (RSI) and founded his first church in Pittsburgh. Since 1996, Dr. Terry has been serving others in various capacities through an independent ministry, but a new chapter in his work began in November of 2011. He is now a licensed minister with Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL), the new international organization created by the merger of United Churches of Religious Science and the churches of RSI. In addition to guiding our church, Dr. Terry is also the spiritual leader and founding pastor of Center for Spiritual Living Cumberland Valley, which meets in Unity's Fellowship Hall on Tuesday evenings.
Dr. Terry is also a licensed social worker practicing clinical psychospiritual therapy. He holds a master of social work degree with a concentration in mental health from Temple University and a doctor of divinity degree from American Institute of Holistic Theology. He has worked as a speaker and seminar facilitator throughout the United States, and is the author of seven books on the subjects of self-empowerment, healing and humor.
Our Spiritual Leader
